You might remember we brought you news on Zombie Women of Satan 2 a short while ago, well things are moving along nicely for the people behind the film and shooting is set to start in this month (July) in the North East of England. We're promised that the sequel is going to be bigger, better and... erm, boobier so we can only hope the finished product lives up to these claims.
Writer/Director/Actor of Zombie Women of Satan, Warren Speed, has vacated the director's chair for this second installment and handed the reins to Chris Greenwood who also shares the writing and producing duties. Chris is no stranger to scantily-clad zombie ladies, having been involved early on in the first film, but having to drop out due to other commitments. Of the planning of the sequel Chris says "We're trying to make a sequel, on 1/10th of the budget that the first film had, that was grander than the first film was always going to be tough. I told Warren we needed to be thinking along the lines of Terminator 2 to Terminator. Go bigger! But we thought it was possible so we said let's do it. It's all going great and we're very confident that what we've got is everything needed to make a great movie. We've got a great team working on it and we're confident we can deliver a great sequel."
In ZWoS 2 Pervo The Clown is back and this time he's up against "The Bad Habits", 4 high class hookers turned assassins, plus Bertie Dumble (played by UK Big Brother 7 winner Pete Bennett) who is linked to the bizzarre and crazy Zander family from the first film.
I'm sure this will be all mixed up in some crazy 18 rated shenanigans. Proof of this comes in the increase in your actual zombie women. The original film had 31 whereas part two promises no less than 83 blood-soaked maidens. The producers have also launched an Indiegogo campaign to boost the funding for the film. So far they've exceeded their $1000 campaign by over $400, and are promising to spend the extra money on making the special effects extra-satisfying. You can't have zombies without plenty of blood. If you'd like to check out the campaign, head over to http://www.indiegogo.com/ZWOS2 and check out the range of perks on offer.
