Uncle Frank Range

A couple of weeks back we shared some images from those lovely folks over at Uncle Frank Productions on our Facebook and Twitter pages. The designs were just a bit of fun, created for Valentine's Day using horror icons to convey a romantic message. After posting the response was phenomenal, with a massive amount of social sharing and sites like Dread Central and Rue Morgue picking up on the news story. Although the original images were never intended to exist in anything more than the digital world, Uncle Frank Productions has pushed forward with making physical prints available in the face of overwhelming demand. And what's more they're giving people the chance to win a pair of prints by suggesting the next icon that should get an Uncle Frank makeover.

Read on for the full details:

Following the success of its recent promotional artwork, Uncle Frank Productions has now made its 'Senti-Mental Prints of Darkness' available to purchase.

The artwork, featuring 11 of horror's most iconic legends, shows even monsters have a sensitive side. Characters like Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger and Chucky from the Child's Play franchise all open up their hearts in these beautifully designed and gorgeously presented prints.

"We never initially meant to have them for sale," says Uncle Frank Co-founder Sharon Davies. "We purely wanted to give horror fans the chance to make their valentine a bit more personal. We were very happy to have so many people liking and sharing the artwork but had no idea that so many wanted to buy them too".

"With us allowing people to download and post anywhere they wanted, it was important that any products we made were of a high enough standard that would justify fans paying for it. Thankfully, POTO Studio are as passionate about high quality printing as we are about horror and the result is extremely impressive."

Uncle Frank Productions is a creative agency that offers support and resources for the horror genre, and while it keeps busy behind the scenes on a number of projects, now and again it finds the time to do promotional campaigns like this, specifically for fans of the macabre.

"For real fans, horror is all year round, not just for Halloween," says creative director Ilan Sheady. "If you are more likely to have a Cenobite to express your feelings than a pink rabbit then why shouldn't you?" As well as the initial romantic designs, Ilan has now created a set of five Mother's Day prints which includes Jason Voorhees, The Babadook and The Addams Family.

"We really enjoyed working on the first of our 'Senti-Mental' range" adds Ilan. "We now have a selection of greetings cards being produced and a few additional designs including Mother's Day but the most exciting news is we are looking at doing an animated series and are in talks with some very exciting people to get involved."

To celebrate the release, Uncle Frank Productions is offering fans the chance to choose the 12th character
for the Senti-Mental set. The winner will receive both the print they suggested and any other of the set to
keep it company.

Uncle Frank Productions is keen to get as many responses as possible to see what people would like to see next.
