March 1st, 2013 sees the release of The Last Exorcism Part II. Directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly and produced by horror darling Eli Roth, the film has Ashley Bell reprising her role as Nell Sweetzer. This week saw a picture from the movie hitting the web.

Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. Back in the relative safety of New Orleans, Nell realizes that she can't remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.

I think I may be in the minority as someone who actually really dug The Last Exorcism. I mean, aside from the last 10 minutes being a complete suckfest (because, really, people in robes don't scare anyone anymore), I really enjoyed most of what led up to it. It's just too bad that ending was so horrible because this could have been a lot better than what it ended up as. Judging by the trailer below, The Last Exorcism Part II doesn't appear to be a found footage film either. We'll see.

He's the puppet master. You don't see him, but he pulls the strings that gets things done. He's the silent partner. He's black ops. If you notice his presence, it's the last thing you'll notice — because now you're dead. He's the shadow you thought you saw in that dark alleyway. You can have a conversation with him, and when you turn around to offer him a cup of coffee, he's already gone.
