Time for horror fans to get their culture on. Switch off the TV and Blu-ray player and get out to one of the oldest forms of entertainment, a live theatre show. The Horror! The Horror! is a Lovecraftian horror show that takes place in Wilton's Victorian Music Hall. Read on for the official information.
Theatre of the Damned, the UK’s leading horror theatre company brings The Horror! The Horror! to historic Wilton’s Music Hall this Halloween…
‘It’s 1904 and an East-London Music Hall is closed for refurbishment. They’re tearing up the floorboards, bringing down the balcony and digging deep into the mouldering foundations.
Upstairs they’re having an open rehearsal for the new season and you’re all invited. They’re trying for something a little different this winter: the comedians have some vicious new material, the magician has pulled something rather nasty out of the hat and they’re getting through chorus girls at one Hell of a rate.'
An evening of unholy merriment is guaranteed, with a bill that puts the patter into splatter and the kind of cross-talk you could nail the Saviour to. Theatre of the Damned, four-times OffWestEnd Award nominees and creators of the hit show Grand Guignol, have teamed up for a co-production with Wilton’s Music Hall of their most ambitious show yet, an immersive, promenade experience. The Horror! The Horror! draws its audience directly into the action for a blood-soaked evening of murder, mayhem and bellowing madness, combining London’s rich history of music hall entertainment, the ancient horrors of HP Lovecraft and a cornucopia of Victorian gothic nightmares.
