James O'Barr, creator of The Crow, is returning to the character once again, fresh off his run on The Crow: Skinning the Wolves, which saw the Spirit of Vengeance descending on a concentration camp in World War II. IDW Publishing has announced a new three issue mini-series from O'Barr entitled The Crow: Curare beginning in June. This title follows retired cop Joe Salk, obsessed with the unsolved murder of a young girl. His life falls apart around him as he seeks to avenge this death. It's at this point that the Crow reaches out to him in an effort to close this case once and for all.
“It was a great return to form for James O’Barr on the previous The Crow: Skinning the Wolves miniseries, and seeing him tackle a present-day tale feels even more vital,” said Chris Ryall, IDW’s Chief Creative Officer/Editor-in-Chief.

The Crow: Curare will be written and lettered by O'Barr with art by Antoine Dodé over O'Barr's breakdowns. The first issue will feature a painted wraparound cover by the creator as well as covers by Dodé and Miran Kim.
