ROCHE LIMIT JUMPS FURTHER INTO THE FUTURE WITH CLANDESTINY

After a stunning conclusion to the sci-fi noir epic, Roche Limit is jumping further into the future with the second chapter of the trilogy, Clandestiny, debuting in May from Image Comics. Writer Michael Moreci and artists Kyle Charles and Vic Malhotra set the next story arc 75 years after the events of the first volume.

Roche Limit: Clandestiny picks up decades after some pretty crazy stuff left the space colony in flames. A crew of military and science personnel are sent to the now forgotten and desolate planet on a mysterious expedition. They quickly learn the dark secrets lurking within and find that their mission is not what they thought it to be. Danger surrounds them as they fight to find a way off the planet and resist the strange presence that haunts them all.

"The success of Roche Limit has been more than I could ever hope for, considering it's a pretty out-there book," said Moreci. "What's exciting is this new volume pushes things further, introducing a whole new cast and story while maintaining the thematic core that readers have loved so far."

The first Roche Limit series was described as a cross between Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey which does not to the series justice because 2001 was a total snorefest and Roche Limit is far from that. It also had a finality to it, especially for the featured characters. The door was definitely left open to tell further stories and explore the bizarre qualities of the big hole in space that Roche Limit orbits. If you missed the original series, you can catch up quickly with the trade paperback, due out later this month. That will give you plenty of time to read it before diving into Clandestiny.

Roche Limit: Volume 1 will be available in comic book stores on March 25th, 2015 and in bookstores on April 7th, 2015. Roche Limit: Clandestiny #1 debuts on May 6th, 2015. It will feature a cover by Kyle Charles and another by Vic Malhotra. All are currently available for pre-order.
