Robocop Remake Trailer lands

If there's one thing guaranteed to whip the internet into a frenzy, it's a remake. Even more so when the remake is of a film that's revered as a classic by many. No surprise then, that the recent trailer reveal for the Robocop remake got every fanboy with a twitter account hot under the collar. Random internet idiots everywhere have written the film off on the strength of the trailer alone. How short-sighted do you have to be to assume a two-minute montage of action scenes represents the overall experience? Personally, I think it looks promising. There are enough nods to the original, in the trailer alone, to make me confident they've done a decent job. All those people complaining about the black suit from the leaked production pictures? Look at it, he's got the original Robo suit until some clown from OmniCorp wants it to look "more tactical". Hate The man, not the movie. So fanboys, take a chill pill and wash it down with a glass of shut the hell up. Until the film is released, no one knows how it's going to be.

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.
