MUMMY’S ALWAYS RIGHT HITS KICKSTARTER

As a father, I’m constantly on the lookout for fun books for my kids.  I’ve already moved past the standards like The Cat in the Hat and Goodnight Moon.  Now I’m on to the new classics like C is for Cthulhu and ABCDisgusting.  I’m happy to see a new title join my kids’ bookshelves in the coming months with Mummy’s Always Right from creator Joe Mulvey.  I was excited about this when Mulvey first started talking about it on Facebook and Twitter.  Now he’s taken the project to Kickstarter to fund its release.  You can bet that I was quick to back that sucker.

Mummy’s Always Right is an illustrated hardcover board book with artwork from Mulvey and colors by Jules Rivera, published by ComixTribe.  It follows a mischievous little monster named Gaws who learns the many reasons he should listen to his Mummy.  I love everything about this project and I can’t wait to share it with my kids.

"I made this book for my two little monsters," said Joe Mulvey. "But I think there are a whole lot of other families who will enjoy it, too."

"We stumbled upon a surprise hit a few years back, with the C is for Cthulhu line of books," said ComixTribe publisher Tyler James. "Now, we're trying to see if lightning can strike twice with Mulvey and Mummy."

ComixTribe knows a thing or two about Kickstarter projects.  The publisher always delivers and does it well. I can speak from experience based on backing a number of the previous projects including those for C is for Cthulhu.  Aside from the book, backers can get their hands on art prints, signed sketches, and custom art.

At the time of this writing, the Kickstarter campaign is closing in on its $8,000 goal with 30 days remaining.
