LITTLE NIGHTMARES RELEASES ON CONSOLES AND PC THIS FRIDAY
Developed by Tarsier Studios
Game releasing on April 28th, 2017
Platforms: PC | PS4 | Xbox One
For the past month, I've been in Japan. I'm sure you're already aware and missed me dearly. Fear not, reader, I am back. And I have returned to news that a game I've been keeping an eye on is releasing very soon. Little Nightmares looks to be a dream come true for horror fans, and it's time to wake up, because it is being released this week. Tarsier Studios' "suspense-adventure" is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 28 April for £15.99.
I've covered Little Nightmares on HorrorTalk in a list of indie horror games to keep your eye on in 2017, and described the game as the love-child of Little Big Planet and Inside. I'm standing by that.
Little Nightmares is a creepy puzzle-platformer in which you control Six, a raincoat-clad protagonist trying to survive in a world that seems to want you dead. Long arms reach out for you from the shadows, chefs with meat cleavers chase you down, and a dark environment towers above your tiny frame. It's all very surreal, and it's something that I want to be a part of.
My own little nightmare is figuring out how I'm going to find the time to play this game when Persona 5 is vying for my attention. Hopefully you won't have the same problem when Little Nightmares is released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this coming Friday. Sweet dreams.
