HELLBOUND COMES TO AMERICA IN SEPTEMBER
With an ever increasing roster of characters and stories to pick from in American comics, I sometimes forget that there's literally a whole world of other funny books available. I just don't know what any of them say because they're not in English. Fortunately we have some pretty smart publishers out there that see the value in these books and translating them for simple folk like me. Dark Horse Comics has announced the adaptation of Panini's Highway to Hell this September. Retitled Hellbound and written by Victor Gischler, the comic takes readers on a road trip of horrific nightmares through small-town America.
Hellbound follows two disgraced FBI agents sent to investigate a series of gruesome murders along the highway. There's much more to this case than a garden-variety serial killer.
"I've had nothing but good times with Dark Horse, and considering their fantastic track record with horror, I'm thrilled they are bringing Hellbound to an American readership," said Gischler. "A great partnership for a great book."
Joining Gischler on Hellbound are Davide Dileo and Riccardo Burchielli. The graphic novel release will feature a cover by Lee Bermejo. Expect it in stores this September.
