WILL YOU SPONSOR RACHEL AND SIMRET FOR MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT?
Two of our kick-ass writers are about to embark on a sponsored writing event in aid of a great cause. Rachel Knightley and Simret Cheema-Innis will take part in the annual Green Ink Sponsored Write (organised by Rachel herself through Green Ink Writers' Gym) to support Macmillan Cancer Support. Read on for the official info and how you can get behind our in-house talent...
An annual Creative Writing event for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Sophie Porter (1982-2007). Green Ink Sponsored Write brings together writers across the genres under one theme, supporting Macmillan Cancer Support's mission to improve quality of life for everyone affected by cancer: making the most of all the time families and friends have together. Reflecting that mission, writers are sponsored for their time rather than word count, because time is the biggest thing we can give.
This year's theme is 'Green Things'. Expect the weird and the wonderful.
Sponsor a writer, and be the first to receive the results: After a 24-hour grace period for editing, you'll receive an email of all the material – six months before that material is published anywhere else by the writers.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Macmillan Cancer Support. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
