Dead by Daylight is Coming to Consoles
Important news, horror fans. One of my personal favourite games of 2016 is coming to consoles later this year; Dead by Daylight. Behaviour Interactive's asymmetric multiplayer horror will be ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One thanks to a partnership with publisher Starbreeze.
Dead by Daylight, if you don't already know, is a multiplayer game of four survivors versus one killer. The survivors must work together to fix generators and escape procedurally-generated levels, while the killer must hunt them down before they can do so. Unsurprisingly, the game has been highly successful on Steam, with almost two million copies sold since its release last June. Not to mention its ongoing DLC, which sees new killers, survivors, maps and abilities added to the mix.
The most recent of which was the swampy addition, “Of Flesh and Mud”, and the exciting Halloween DLC, which introduced the game's first licensed characters in Michael Myers and Laurie Strode, once again playing their deadly game of cat-and-mouse in their home-town of Haddonfield. Glorious.
No price or release date has yet been given for Dead by Daylight's console release, but I have my fingers crossed that it includes all additional content up to this point. Keep up with the latest news by following the game on Twitter, and I'll be sure to cover everything as it is revealed on HorrorTalk. Stick around
