THE DAMNED GETS DIGITAL RELEASE AHEAD OF PRINT

The Damned: Volume 1 – Three Days Dead is set for release on March 21st, 2017 from Oni Press. I got an early look at it and it's pretty awesome. I know, you're jealous. Don't worry. If you can't wait until the end of March, you'll have a chance to read it a little sooner as Oni Press is breaking up the first volume into five chapters released digitally on March 8th for $1.99 each. Just in case you didn't know about this supernatural crime comic from writer Cullen Bunn, artist Brian Hurtt, and colorist Bill Crabtree, here's the write-up from the publisher:

During prohibition, gangsters grew rich on our vices, and rivalries between criminal organizations resulted in open war. But unknown to the masses, a more sinister power controlled the crime cartels, using greed, gluttony, lust and other sins to fuel a more lucrative trade: mortal souls. Enter Eddie, a mortal who lost his soul long ago. Caught in the middle of competing demonic families, any other human would've gotten the ax long ago. But Eddie's got a special talent that keeps him on his feet. One man's curse is another man's gift.

Either way you read this, I assure you that it's worth your ten bucks. Yes, the trade paperback is only $9.99. This kicks off the new ongoing series and would be enough on its own. Then the publisher sweetened the pot with a specially-priced $1 debut issue on May 3rd, 2017.
