GUNSUITS & BROKEN MOON RETURN FROM AMERICAN GOTHIC PRESS
As mentioned previously, I'm still digging myself out of a warehouse sized pile of press releases as a result of a few recent comic conventions. This announcement was too good to pass over though and I wanted to make sure I shared it here. American Gothic Press, the comic publisher side of Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine has been on a tear lately with a string of great horror books. Recently at WonderCon, the team was on hand to announce some follow-ups to two of its debut titles: Gunsuits and Broken Moon.
Gunsuits will return later this year with a one-shot entitled Gunsuits: Alix. Philip Kim, Holly Interlandi, and Dennis Calero are the creative team behind it. Broken Moon, the series where monsters roam the earth after humans...well...broke the moon, will be back with Nat Jones on art duties. No specifics just yet on whether this is a new mini-series or a one-shot like Gunsuits. Also, I'm not sure if Steve Niles will be back for writing duties. Check out that pretty awesome Gill-Creature shot for the cover.

The publisher also revealed the cover for Killbox #3. The first issue is set to debut later this month from writer Tom Riordan and artist Nathan Gooden. Also shown was a cover for Island 731, set for release later this year. The book is written by Jeremy Robinson and Kane Gilmour with art by Jeff Zornow.
Finally, to celebrate Forrest J Ackerman's 100th birthday later this year, Famous Monsters of Filmland is putting together a graphic anthology to honor their founder. Tales from the Ackermansion will be financed through a Kickstarter campaign launching in May. The list of contributors so far includes Kirk Hammett, Ray Fawkes, John 5, Richard Christian Matheson, Dan DiDio, Matt Frank, Christian DiBari, Charlie Benante, Juan Ferreyra, Darick Robertson, Bob Eggleton, Ben Meares, David Weiner, Holly Interlandi, Joe Moe, Adam Egypt Mortimer, Travis Williams, Dave Kelly, Trevor Goring, Buzz Dixon, Mark L. Miller, Jim Terry, Jonathan La Mantia, Lara Antal, Victoria Lau, and Patrick McEvoy.
