EMPTY ZONE: A HORROR COMICS 20 YEARS IN THE MAKING
Creator Jason Shawn Alexander is back and his brought some disturbing comics with him. He’ll be writing and drawing a new series called Empty Zone: Conversations with the Dead this June from Image Comics.
The book follows Corinne White as she attempts to reconcile the ghosts of her violent past…literally. She trudges through a world of dystopian cityscapes, reanimated corpses, and ganglands full of animal / human hybrids.

“I created the idea for this series 20 years ago. I'm finally bringing it to fruition, through Image Comics, and I'm putting everything I have into it,” said Alexander. “I wanted to create a sci-fi series that veers off into ghosts and the supernatural and becomes something completely different.”
There have been a number of great sci-fi / horror genre mash-ups lately like Southern Cross and the Alien: Fire and Stone maxi-series. Empty Zone sounds pretty creepy and judging from the preview pages, it delivers. The first issue is due out on June 17th.
