Part of 388 Arletta Avenue's promotion is its from the makers of Splice and Cube. I usually take these "FROM THE MAKERS OF!!" blurbs with a grain of salt, but the guys producing this thing have a nice pedigree between them. In addition to the two already mentioned, these cats have also produced films like Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning, Ginger Snaps: Unleashed and Black Christmas (which, while not great, was really hurt more by the studio than anything else). Having really enjoyed the Ginger Snaps sequels, I'm curious what they help bring to the table here.

Synopsis:
In this fresh, subversive take on the found-footage horror genre from the makers of Splice and Cube, a faceless voyeur’s twisted manipulation of a young couple escalates into a deadly cat-and-mouse game, as seen from the perspective of hidden cameras he’s concealed throughout their house.

Starring Nick Stahl (Carnivàle), Mia Kirshner (The Vampire Diaries) and Devon Sawa (Final Destination) and written and directed by Randall Cole, 388 Arletta Avenue makes its VOD premiere on May 18th. Check your local cable company for more info.

He's the puppet master. You don't see him, but he pulls the strings that gets things done. He's the silent partner. He's black ops. If you notice his presence, it's the last thing you'll notice — because now you're dead. He's the shadow you thought you saw in that dark alleyway. You can have a conversation with him, and when you turn around to offer him a cup of coffee, he's already gone.
