Eve has a crappy job.  She has the late shift at Halloween Land, a super store filled with costumes, masks, and novelties to bring in the candy-coated holiday.  She turns to her imagination to avoid the soul-sucking duties of day-to-day retail.  Things turn dangerous when the items in the store start coming to life in Halloween Eve, a one-shot comic scripted by Brandon Montclare and illustrated by Amy Reeder.

The book is due out in October (how fitting?) and started out on Kickstarter.  It reached its funding goal and made its way to Image Comics, the premiere home for creator owned comics.

Reeder came up with the idea for Halloween Eve which is more than just a girl in a store with spooky stuff.  It really centers on Eve as a character.  She's an expert costumer who wears a variety of masks to keep people from seeing her true self.  The Halloween items that have sprung to life are looking to find out what makes her tick.

"Halloween Eve will break your heart and blow you away!" said Reeder.

Halloween Eve is a 40 page one-shot comic.  It's a stand alone issue due out in October 2012.
