NYCC 2014: RICHARD CORBEN'S RAT GOD COMING IN FEBRUARY
Seriously, why does anyone go camping ever? I don't get it. Nothing good happens when you go into the woods. Further proof of this can be found in the upcoming title Rat God from creator Richard Corben, due out in February 2015 from Dark Horse Comics. Terrible things haunt the forest outside of Arkham (not the Asylum). When an arrogant city slicker sets out to uncover the background of a young woman from the backwoods, he finds some pretty terrifying stuff that is beyond imagination. We're talking a blend of Lovecraftian horrors and Native American legends. I was so not joking about staying out of the woods.
Corben is an Eisner Hall of Famer and has been working on horror books for longer than I've been alive. He's been tearing it up lately with some great Edgar Allan Poe adaptations, so I'm excited to see what he's got in store next.
Rat God #1 is due out on February 4th, 2015.
