Heavy metal scumdogs, GWAR, have been thrown through time thanks to Mr. Perfect. Since then, they've been wreaking havoc throughout historical moments, including the Revolutionary War, prehistoric times, and now, the sinking of the Titanic. Oh, they also saved Hitler's dog. We pick up with the group battling a huge vagina-faced tentacle monster called the Krakunt. That's where this comic STARTS.
GWAR: Orgasmageddon has been an over-the-top, pun-filled, ridiculous comic and it is showing no signs of slowing down here. The Krakunt battle is pure bliss. I'm still a rookie when it comes to GWAR, but if anyone asked me to describe them, I think I'd give them the opening pages of this comic. They gleefully hack and slash the tentacles while simultaneously cracking jokes. Yes, a chunk of them are a little lame, but they work so well with everything else that's going on, you go with it.

Artist Jonathan Brandon Sawyer has outdone himself with the Krakunt. It's a sexualized Lovecraftian monster. Picture Cthulhu, now add a bunch of large, sagging breasts and slap a vagina on his face. Who's your Elder God now? It's somehow both terrifying and hilarious at the same time. Then it spits out a bunch of smaller Cthulhu-like creatures, with penises instead of tentacles on their faces. I'm sure this is what Lovecraft had it mind all those years ago. If he could have afforded an artist, this is probably exactly what his books would have looked like.
Since GWAR is flying through time, it's only natural that the group would visit their own history. This is where I fall short in my GWAR knowledge, as there are some references that go right over my head. I'm sure any longtime fan will absolutely eat this up. That being said, writers Matt Miner and Matt Maguire seamlessly introduce new (or old?) characters so that anyone can still enjoy the experience. You're not left in the dark. You get enough information to stay plugged into the story.

Orgasmageddon maintains an incredible pace. It never lets you catch your breath. GWAR goes from one bloody gag to the next without missing a beat. This comic is jam-packed with gore, mayhem, and hilarity, so much so that it's probably worth a second read to ensure you caught every joke.
GWAR: Orgasmaddon is the best comic you will read featuring a penis-shaped time machine and I'm including that one weird issue of Uncanny X-Men. Now you're wondering which one I'm talking about, aren't you? I'm just kidding. There's no penis-shaped time machine in X-Men...or is there? Anyway, if you love dark humor and gore, you are going to love this comic. Plus, the Krakunt is worth the price of admission alone. I'm going to be having some very confusing dreams / nightmares about that tonight.
