Review:

When my editor asked me if I wanted to review an Alien coloring book, my response was, "Do the words duh mean anything to you?" Yes, I quote way too much from Buffy the Vampire Slayer that is healthy for me.

Coloring books, especially those based on popular media, can be a crapshoot. Some barely look like the shows that they are supposed to represent; the Supernatural one comes to mind. And others are awesomely detailed and realistic. Like Alien: The Coloring Book.

There are pictures depicting scenes from the first three Alien movies, and thankfully skipping Resurrection. The drawings are so detailed, the colorist will feel like they are in the movie. One tip though, use a colored pencil because the renderings are so perfectly done, no crayon will cut it.

Enclosed is an uncolored and partially colored page to let you see what you are getting into. As for my coloring skills, I don't do it for perfection; I do it to keep from snapping and ending up on the evening news. You're welcome.

Coloring books may not be for everyone, but for me, nothing is more fun that revisiting my favorite death scenes with a splash of color and an eye for design.
