Re: Marvel shows on Netflix

I liked The Punisher and Daredevil, but the rest I've found difficult to get into. The first episode of Luke Cage turned me right off it (but then the first episode of Mindhunter didn't do much for me, but then I went on to love the series).

Re: Yep

Welcome. We hate social media too, mainly because we're old and crotchety, but mostly because, like AR alluded to, it's taken away from forums the internet over.

I'm actually re-reading Freddy vs Jason vs Ash, Kiss Psycho Circus vol 1 & 2 as well as the Harry Potter series & LOTR. But mostly I'm reading IT and Secret Window.
Damn, another reader, you'll fit right in here. Welcome to the forum, btw. :yay:

Re: Why do we have 3 Hatchet sequels and not 1 Behind the Mask?

Probably because Adam Green is a fairly shrewd filmmaker and his Ariescope Pictures is responsible for financing and releasing the Hatchet films (along with his other work). Plus, he's kept himself high profile with fans. He's at Frightfest pretty much every year, even when he doesn't have a film to...

Inside No. 9

If you're not watching this British TV show on Netflix (it's on the UK service, hopefully US too) you should be. It's not out an out horror, more like dark tales that always end with and even darker twist. From Wikipedia Inside No. 9 is a British dark comedy anthology television programme that first...

Re: Fear Itself

I can take or leave Shudder, but as an example they do acquire new films. This is from the press release pre-Frightfest 2017 (hence the hyperbole): Monday 21 August: AMC Networks’ premium streaming service Shudder, which super-serves fans with a wide variety of high-quality thrillers, suspense and h...

It's like MoH, but slightly better.
I thought Fear Itself was like a follow-on/sequel series to MoH?

Re: Just a bunch of stuff i've seen lately

THE FOREIGNER ... this inauspicious title hides one of the best films I've seen recently. When an elderly proprietor of a London-based Chinese restaurant (Jackie Chan in a fantastic role) loses his daughter in a terrorist bombing, he goes all out to find out the perps and punish the vigilante style...
