Its a good time to be a zombie fan. Zombies films are experiencing a renaissance,. Filmmakers around the world, including the granddaddy of the genre, George Romero, are making a slew of new zombie films. Amidst the sea of zombie material, one little project has made a name for itself; When Zombies Attack. An enjoyable mockumentary that depicts the antics of the P.M.A.C. (Post Mortem Animation Control) as they try to save the world from zombies, the short has spawned its own following, prompting the release of a sequel (Waker Safety), puppets and toys, and now, a comic book.

The comic continues the story of the P.M.A.C, although it focuses less on Officer Frank Hadley, and more on some of the side characters. This allows the comic to stretch into new, even more bizarre and humorous territory, such as zombies trying to pass themselves off as door-to-door salesmen. The comic is in black and white, which ties in with the documentary style of the films. The artwork is rough around the edges, but not without its own sense of style. It is a fun issue, but it assumes you already know about the P.M.A.C. before starting. Luckily, the film is readily available over the Internet for free. If you enjoyed the films, youll certainly enjoy the comic.
