Region 1 Horror and Cult DVDs coming out on September 7th, 2010

New on Blu-ray:

6-Film Horror Blu-ray Collection: Salvage / Mortuary / The Final Patient / Salem Witch Trials / Haunting of Winchester House / I Am Omega ($44.99 MSRP): The Final Patient:
When retired physician Daniel Green (Bill Cobbs) lifts a 5-ton farm tractor off a boy trapped beneath, the enigma of his supernatural strength piques the curiosity of two med students passing through town. Visiting the old doctor at his isolated farmhouse, they soon learn his bizarre secret: he has uncovered the key to eternal youth. But sometimes the lust for immortality has deadly consequences. The night takes a twisted turn as the young men discover Dr. Green's "miracle" has come with a horrifying price...and a fate far worse than growing old.

Salem Witch Trials: Salem, Massachusetts. A small town--with no clear governing body--became embroiled in a scandal that forever stands as one of the darkest chapters in American history. For those accused of witchcraft by their neighbors and friends, there was little chance of clearing their names; the mass paranoia that ravaged through the community took the lives of 19 innocent men and women. With an all-star cast of Kirstie Alley, Rebecca De Mornay, Kristin Booth, Shirley MacLaine, Peter Ustinov and Alan Bates.

Haunting of Winchester House: The Winchester mansion has fueled centuries of legends, and one family is about to realize just how true they can be... When the young family moves into the mansion to act as caretakers, their daughter is abducted by sinister spirits. To get her back, they'll discover — in a terrifying, paranormal game of wits--just why the house holds its reputation as one of the most haunted places in America.

I Am Omega: As the survivor of a deadly plague that swept the planet and left millions dead, Renchard (martial arts master Mark Dacascos) lives in isolation, constantly on watch for the infected zombies that hunt him. When another survivor--immune and the key to creating an antidote — contacts Renchard for help evacuating from a dangerous zone in the city center, the future of the human race rests on a single mission!

Salvage: Claire Parker is going to die. At the hands of a sadistic and depraved killer, she will endure a terrifying, unimaginably brutal death--and it will all happen again. After being beaten, dragged, sliced, and stabbed, Claire awakens at work — where it all began — untouched and unharmed. But the hellish ordeal is far from over. The madman is back and he's ready for more blood...

Mortuary: In the small town of Santa Loraina, California, the decrepit, long-abandoned Fowler Funeral Home has become a local legend. As the story has it, Zeb Fowler bought the land to start up a ranching business, but something killed off all the cattle. To make ends meet, Zeb became the town mortician, and the Fowler house was turned into a funeral home — complete with a cemetery for a yard. But the strangest part of the story is the Fowler's son Bobby, whose face was so hideously disfigured it was hidden beneath a burial shroud. At age eight, Bobby mysteriously vanished, and ten years later his parents were found murdered — their faces smashed in. Locals believe that Bobby is still alive. Today, the Fowler Funeral Home is the stuff nightmares are made of — and now the Doyle family is moving in. Having recently lost her husband, Leslie Doyle (Denise Crosby) is relocating her two children, Jonathan (Dan Byrd) and Jamie, to Santa Loraina so she can become the town's new mortician. But the Doyles have no idea of the horror that they're in for. Soon they'll uncover what happened to the Fowlers — what evil inhabits the grounds of their estate and what happens to anyone who steps foot there...

Hatchet ($29.97 MSRP): Adam Green's Hatchet is a goofy, gory gas that pays tribute to the slasher boom of the 1980s by placing more hapless teens in the path of an indestructible maniac. Said killer is Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder, Jason in many of the later Friday the 13th entries), a deformed Louisiana swamp dweller who returns from an apparent fiery death to lay waste to a mixed bag of tourists and Mardi Gras revelers who've wandered into his turf on a "haunted swamp" tour.

In Cold Blood ($19.98 MSRP): In Cold Blood is the powerful, true story of a callous murder, based upon the best-selling novel by Truman Capote. A prosperous and respected Kansas farmer, his wife and his two teenage children are wantonly and brutally slaughtered. The murderers are two mindless ex-convict drifters: Perry Smith (Robert Blake) and Dick Hickock (Scott Wilson). Neither of the men are sane enough to regret their crime. The story penetrates the inner workings of the criminals minds as it follows their purposeless meandering through Mexico and the United States in evasion of the law. After more than a year of wandering, the hunted men are finally caught, tried and in a dramatic conclusion condemned to hang.

Poltergeist ($24.98 MSRP): “They're here,” — seeming almost whimsical at first, playing stack-the- chair games in the Freelings kitchen. Then things turn darker. A storm erupts, a tree attacks and little Carol Anne Freeling is whisked into a spectral void. As her family confronts horrors galore and fights to bring the youngster back, something else is here too: a new benchmark in Hollywood ghost stories. Producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall and director Tobe Hooper head the elite scream team of this classic whose nerve-jangling effects include floating phantasms, the fiercest monster ever to pop out of a closet and an entire house collapsing into nothingness. Welcome to Home Sweet Haunted Home.

The Skeleton Key ($26.98 MSRP): Kate Hudson stars in The Skeleton Key — a supernatural thriller that weaves a tale of terror and suspense! When Caroline Ellis (Hudson) takes a job in Louisiana’s bayous, she unlocks a deadly secret involving magic, conjure and sacrifice that pulls her into a terrifying world of strange, frightening and unexplained incidents. The key to escaping may lie in a decrepit attic, but if she dares to believe in what she discovers, everything she fears will become real!

Supernatural: The Complete Fifth Season ($69.97 MSRP): Twenty-six years ago, Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. Subsequently, their father raised them to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America ... and he taught them how to kill it. This haunting series follows the Winchester brothers as they crisscross the lonely and mysterious back roads of the country in their '67 Chevy Impala, hunting down every evil supernatural force they encounter along the way. At the end of the fourth season, Sam unwittingly broke the final seal — that held Lucifer captive in Hell. Now, Lucifer is free, the Apocalypse is here and angels prepare for a spectacular final battle. Against a landscape of celestial violence, natural disasters and a rising human death toll, Sam and Dean, with the help of fallen angel Castiel, must find a way to achieve the impossible: Kill the Devil.

Supernatural: The Complete Fifth Season is also available on standard DVD.

But upon landing, it's clear something isn't quite right — it's eerily silent. There's been an uprising, and no one is alive except for a terrified captain babbling about convict #762. A convict who has managed to slaughter everyone. A convict who is looking for a way off the planet...

I couldn't find a trailer for Convict 762, so sing along with Skid Row as they perform 18 and Life.

And deep in space, sabotage and treason threaten the mission — and the lives of everyone on board...

Ghastly Grabs Vol. 1 - 3 DVD Set (Sick and the Dead, Raving Maniacs, Invitation) ($24.98 MSRP): Sick and the Dead: Flynn, Alex and Joe were right in the middle of ordinary lives when a zombie plague led them on a detour through a world of terror. One year later, they're no longer the same people they once were: one a bloodthirsty psychopath, one a survivalist and one an unlikely hero. Surrounded by the flesh-eating undead, the three come together to form an uneasy alliance. But who offers the bloodier fate, the walking dead or the psychotic living?

The socially smart storyline tells a tale of reckless youth with no control over the substances they ingest in heir endless quest for stimulation, feeling, and euphoria. The risks of doing some drugs may never be discovered until it s too late, when the party's over.

Watch as Kelly self destructs, while two idiot documentary filmmakers try to find out who killed is sister. With music from punk legends Against All Authority, Radio Baghdad, Load, The Oxy Rottins and an original score by Scott Putesky (co-founder and ex-guitarist of Marilyn Manson). Gorno is a disturbing tale of life in suburban America. The ending will leave you numb...

Drawing Blood: Bodies begin to pile up the moment George Adam's wife leaves town for the weekend. George's past comes back to him, but its nothing like his current life in a safe, calm suburban home. Unbeknownst to him, lovers, friends and neighbors cannot escape the grip of his evil basement. If the local law enforcement can piece the grisly clues together, they may be able to save the next innocent victim. Drawing Blood is a psychological horror film that captures the raw terror of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the pure horror of Halloween.

Inexchange: Maury is a college freshman who is the stereotypical outcast. Taken advantage of, picked on and ignored. He doesn't expect his life to improve, or even change, but he couldn't be more wrong. Life takes a turn after the cool crowd invites him to a private party, where he suffers the ultimate humiliation. Tormented one too many times, Maury makes an agreement and all his problems are eliminated one by one, but what must he give up Inexchange?
