Howard Lovecraft Kickstarter Launched

After releasing three stellar graphic novels starring a young Howard Lovecraft getting into all sorts of adventures, Arcana Studio has turned to Kickstarter to fund a hardcover collection of the tales.  Created by Bruce Brown, the comic reads like a monstrous version of Calvin and Hobbes but instead of a boy and his pet tiger, it's a kid and his pet elder god named Spot.  After he reads from a book known to drive men mad, young Howard Lovecraft travels through three mysterious kingdoms filled with terrifying creatures and monstrous villains, all hellbent on gaining possession of the book.

The graphic novels to date have been Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom, Howard Lovecraft and the Undersea Kingdom, and Howard Lovecraft and the Kingdom of Madness.  The books flow together, but can be read independently.  Plus, they're aimed at kids.  That's right.  This is a way for you to introduce the likes of Cthulu to your little ones without scaring the crap out of them.  The comics are also currently being adapted into an animated series.

The Kickstarter campaign aims to raise $5,000 CAD to publish a hardcover collection of all three graphic novels entitled Howard Lovecraft and the Three Kingdoms.  Rewards for backers include digital and physical versions of the comic, a Lovecraft coloring book, t-shirts, and a plush Spot.

These graphic novels were a lot of fun to read so I'm excited to see them all collected in one place.  Inventory issues have occasionally prevented readers from completing a set of all three, so now this won't be an issue as they will all be in one place.  The hardcover is estimated to be completed in October 2014. The Kickstarter has 25 days to go at the time of this writing.
