A UK indie movie has been gathering pace online thanks to a warm buzz created around its trailer. Molly Crows
is inspired by a true events and tells the story of a small town in Middle-England being torn apart because of a wicked act that took place there centuries ago.
The lead actress is Mercy Gaiger and is just seven years old (six when she started filming). To prepare for the role she studied other horror films featuring possession, such as The Rite
, to get her performance down. The movie features a staggering 70 actors, including George Newton, best known for his roles in Dead Man's Shoes
and Shane Meadows' This is England
. It is written and directed by Portobello-nominated filmaker Ray Wilkes and will be released by Flashgun Films.
