American Mary has been making noise in the UK for a while now. Our British correspondents have already reviewed the film and interviewed the directors both for the site and for our very own HorrorTalk TV (where the Twisted Twins were joined by the film's star Katharine Isabelle). This was pretty tough on me. I've been a huge fan of Isabelle ever since I saw her in Ginger Snaps, and watching my friends across the pond having all the fun was like hearing all the cheer and laughter of the people at your next door neighbor's epic party. The one you weren't invited to.

Well, XLrator Media is finally bringing that party to me, because on May 31st they will be bringing a theatrical release of American Mary.

Synopsis:

"Twisted Twins" Jen and Sylvia Soska are back with their stunning follow-up to the indie hit Dead Hooker in a Trunk. American Mary is the story of a medical student named Mary who is growing increasingly broke and disenchanted with medical school and the established doctors she once idolized. The allure of easy money sends a desperate Mary through the messy world of underground surgeries which leaves more marks on her than the so-called freakish clientele. Appearances are everything.

The film also stars Antonio Cupo (Bomb Girls) and Tristan Risk.
