Between the new ongoing series from IDW Publishing and the intense film released this past year, Judge Dredd fans have a lot to be thankful for. Rebellion has added one more item to that long list with the upcoming Judge Dredd: Origins, an upcoming graphic novel revealing the backstory of the lawman and Mega-City One.
John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra, the co-creators of the character, are teaming up once more for this title. Origins will tell the story of the creation of Mega-City One and how the Judges rose to power under the "Father of Justice" Judge Fargo. More importantly, you'll find out how the most important Judge of them all, Joseph Dredd, played a part in all this. Also included is the reign of President Robert "Bad Bob" Booth, the Atomic Wars, the suspension of the US Constitution, and Dredd's "birth" in a cloning tank.
Origins will feature a cover by Brian Bolland, an introductory tale illustrated by Kev Walker, a covers gallery featuring work by Jock, John Higgins, Rufus Dayglo, Simon Coleby, and Boo Cook, plus an exclusive Carlos Ezquerra sketch gallery.

As a new fan of Judge Dredd, Origins is coming at the exact right time for me. I have so many questions about the character that this book looks like it will clear up.
What do you think of Judge Dredd: Origins? What mystery of Dredd's past are you most looking forward to solving?
