The Walking Dead Gets a Magazine

Not content with taking over graphic novels sales and Sunday cable ratings, The Walking Dead is looking to take over the newsstand.  This October will see the release of The Walking Dead: The Official Magazine from Titan Magazines.  

What can you expect from this new quarterly publication?  Titan promises an inside look at the comic and exclusives as they'll have fully sanctioned access.  There will be a ton of interviews including everyone from creator Robert Kirkman and executive producer Glen Mazzara to Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Jon Bernthal (Shane).  You want to go behind-the-scenes with Greg Nicotero?  They've got that.  You want to get a peek into the writers' room and the scripting process of the show?  Right here.  You want to ask Kirkman a question?  You got it.

The first issue of The Walking Dead: The Official Magazine hits US newsstands on October 23rd.  The UK will see it on November 8th, and Australia and New Zealand will get the book on December 18th.  You can expect 100 pages of zombie action packed with news, tips, and revelations.  This debut issue will also have an alternative cover that features an exclusive colored zombie scene from Charlie Adlard, the artist behind The Walking Dead comic.  This version is only available through comic shops.
