We get a lot of Kickstarter links at HorrorTalk. A lot. Most of them are for pretty cool projects but we have to be a little selective regarding the things that we pimp on the site. Tossing out a retweet here or there is one thing, but devoting a whole article is another. I'd love to talk to you about every horror themed movie, book, and puppet that comes our way but there's just not enough time. That being said, sometimes there are projects that you can't help but talk about. That's the case with 44FLOOD.
Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night, Welcome to Hoxford), menton3 (Monocyte), Kasra Ghanbari, and comic shop owner Nicholas Idell are forming a company called 44FLOOD. The flagship title of the company is Tome and they've started a Kickstarter campaign to fund it. Considering the talent involved, it's no surprise that they reached their goal in a very short amount of time. These are some incredibly talented individuals and they're sharing some very impressive things for anyone that donates. Templesmith has been one of my favorite artists for years and menton3 has quickly become a favorite of mine as well so the idea of the two of them working on anything together gives me a total nerdgasm.

Tome will be an anthology title released annually. This first volume centers on the theme of vampirism. A collection of artists are provided with 3-5 pages to showcase the topic however they want. After each contribution, there will be a one page interview with the artist done by another artist. The people involved include the aforementioned Templesmith, menton3, and Ghanbari, along with people like Ashley Wood, Bill Sienkiewicz, Christopher Mitten, Riley Rossmo, Scott Radke, Steve Niles, and more. The book itself is oversized at 12"x18".
Although they've already reached their goal, you can still contribute to their Kickstarter campaign and get some pretty awesome incentives like companion books, exclusive prints, or even just a pre-order of the book itself.
