Apparently, the uncut version Paramount obtained was already zoomed in like that.

As a huge fan of the original (I've seen it over 20 times), you can hardly tell the difference with the framing. I don't regret getting the Blu-ray, and I've been extremely picky lately about the movies I pick up.

I'd like to see the Sonny Chiba Streetfighter series get a decent BD release.

Lately I've picked up a few westerns and action BDs.

The Searchers
Rio Bravo
The Wild Bunch
Dirty Dozen

I also picked up some good sci-fi

I am now officially digging Summer Glau.....

While I was out on medical leave I did manage to go through a good deal of my backlog of movies.
