Fright Night remake trailer.

Postby Alien Redrum » Fri May 13, 2011 10:03 pm

Doesn't really do anything for me.

I'll probably catch eventually, bit it looks like a big bag of meh.

I'll only be on facebook if there are new vids of the Punisher or another free mouse pad event. - K

I wonder if Jerry the "vampire" has fangs or if his eyebrows do all the eating. -1 for munching on the apple. Manly vampires don't eat fruit.

And that is really, really unfair.

Horror has been a big bag of something worse than meh for a long time.

As for this remake- Farrell is tasty (so, if I may say: this is an area where they could possibly claim superiority over the original) but this just seems like some kind of Cursed / Twilight / Jennifer's Body put in a blender concoction... why not just watch those movies?

Doesn't surprise me at all. Most people I know who have seen it have said it's not bad. The people who generally trash remakes trash them based on the trailer alone.

That and the fact that the teens and twenty somethings that go to the theater have most likely never even heard of the original.

True, but the people who I'm hearing the good things from are fans of the original (which makes it hold more water IMO).

I'm cool with the kids not knowing anything about it. I introduced my nephew to either TCM or DotD (can't remember which) after they saw the remake, and now he's a fan of both.

If it brings new fans to the old one, can't be too bad.

Saw this at Frightfest. Not a fan of the original and this was middle of the road.

Is it comedy/horror like the original?

Yeah, sort of a mix of both. David Tennant provides most of the comedy. Christopher Mintz-Plasse is in it for a surprisingly short spave of time.
