The Wolfman
Not bad; not great. The transformation scenes were cool, though.

You know, for all the pre-press on the Wolfman, its getting surprisingly luke-warm reaction.
Well, maybe I shouldn't be surprised.

I'll see it on DVD, but it seriously looks like a shitfest.

The editing is really sloppy, and the film drags as a result. I really did appreciate the practical special effects, though.

100 Minutes. Watched it on SYFY, it was "ok" for a typical SYFY flick only I have to say that it is almost really worth purchasing for the unrated kill scene between the ghost and one of the characters......yep that particular kill was even really good on SYFY.
Zombieland. Love it! And on the plus side it looks stellar on BLU!

What movie is that? Do you mean 100 Feet? I haven't heard of 100 Minutes, and I'm pretty much a conniseur of Syfy channel movies.

Checked it out and your right it was 100 Feet. Not sure where i even got minutes from.
In my defense it was really late and I was a tad drunk.

I thought 100 Feet Per Minute was pretty good too. I'd heard the unrated version had some worthy scenes in it, but I can't ever bring myself to rent or buy anything I've seen on Syfy.
Yeah, Zombieland looks awesome on BR.

The Stepfather (2009)
I haven't seen the original, but this one was pretty dumb, especially the ending.

WHILE SHE WAS OUT
Feminist revenge fantasy. Might facilitate some form of catharsis for viewers who have suffered domestic violence.
Probably wouldn't do anything for most other people though. Far too bland and crude characters, inconsistent acting by leading lady Kim Basinger and big, bad wolf Lucas Haas and a flatter than flat suspense curve.

I just watched The Vampire's Assistant. This movie was awful. I'm trying to decide if it was worse than the books. Harkat Mulds looks like Golum in a robe.

I don't have cable, but the box that you have to get with the HD, I have gotten a few more channels (lost all the cooking channels though, dammit) but I have retro TV and it shows an old series called Night Gallery. Probably from the seventies but it was produced by Rod Serling. Twilight Zone ripoff but still kind of cool seeing actors and actresses before they made it.

Not exactly a horror film, but close enough:

What a strange, wonderful movie. One of the best I've seen in a while.
