IMDB Synopsis:

En route to visit their grandfather's grave (which has apparently been ritualistically desecrated), five teenagers drive past a slaughterhouse, pick up (and quickly drop) a sinister hitch-hiker, eat some delicious home-cured meat at a roadside gas station, before ending up at the old family home... where they're plunged into a never-ending nightmare as they meet a family of cannibals who more than make up in power tools what they lack in social skills...

I won't go as far to say the movie is overrated, because it really deserves its place in the genre. However, I can comfortably say that the film does not hold up very well, at all.

The protagonists are either unlikeable or so one dimensional that you really don't care if they live or die, and in some cases you hope that they eat it. (That fat fuck in the wheelchair immediately comes to mind.)

Like I said, it has a well deserved spot on horror history, but I can only recommend rent it for someone who has never seen it.
