How can you say you hate Blair Witch and praise Flight of the Dead in the same breath.

The Howling - One of the better entries in the werewolf genre. I actually like it more than An American Werewolf in London. The makeup effects still hold up pretty well, and I like the theme of television desensitizing viewers to the point where the news is no longer credible.
The Descent - One of the best horror movies ever made. I've seen it probably ten times now, and each time feels like the first. Although, the unrated DVD is a little disappointing, as I prefer the theatrical ending to the original one.

Deadgirl - Stupid movie about two guys who find the corpse of a girl in an abandoned building and, after discovering she can't die, decide to keep her as a sex slave.
Dead End - Still one of my favorites. Lin Shaye steals the show. I love that the majority of the film takes place almost entirely in one location, and it's still engaging from beginning to end.
Shadow of the Vampire - Great movie with an excellent performance from Willem Dafoe. This can't come to Blu-ray soon enough.
Killer Movie - Silly, but fun. I predicted the killer's identity after the third kill, which wasn't very far into the movie. For the most part, it was fun playing "spot the celebrity" and then seeing said celebrity die at the hands of a masked killer.

Shadow of the Vampire is one that I always forget about until I come across it on TV, and then rediscover it all over again. I usually stay away from Dafoe flicks because of a run in I had with him, but he's great in this movie.

Because he has good taste?
BWP was nothing more than an exercise in successful marketing. It wasn't innovative in any way, shape or form other than the way it was hyped to hell to sell it to an unsuspecting audience.

Yes, it was hyped to hell, but hype only gets you so far. It wouldn't have made a 140 million just on hype.
Watched this week:
Black Devil Doll - 1/5 - Just shit. A few funny parts, but holy fuck what a waste.
The Hills Run Red - 2.5/5 - Pretty fun movie.
Two more I forgot.

Jack Ketchum's Offspring - WOW was that a disappointment.
Skeleton Crew - has a few moments, but takes it's sweet time and is quickly forgotten.
I agree with the hatred of Black Devil Doll and my review should be fun to write.
I enjoyed The Hills Run Red more than AR... maybe give it 3/5

30 Days of Night - I didn't know this was based on a comic book for awhile then I picked it up after I found out the comic was drawn and co-created by Ben Templesmith. I dug the movie and now I have to find the book.
