No.
I'd rather lick a tramp's armpit than listen to reggae of any kind.

Odd you bring him up, man. I've been listening to Ziggy lately.
Hey (off topic), when you were at Big Hogan, Matt, did Dwight work here then? He was a tech with Jack and Gus.

American music influenced it more than British. It was just that the Brits made it more popular because the Brit mods couldn't find their own culture so they stole someone elses and popularized rocksteady and ska. The second wave of ska was almost purely a British thing, but by then reggae was already around.

Shiki,
Was arguing more from the English oppressing black people they dropped on islands standpoint. Jamaica was an English Colony, no?
I did enjoy you dropping knowledge, though.

I answered this off the board, but am trying to up my post count. I left pre-Dwight I believe. This is just for a historical reference. Hubert may have known him.

Now I feel silly.
And I am always all for pointing out England's oppressive ways against our black brothers and sisters.

I need to Google the differences, but I am also trying to go see RBF in Savannah on Friday if anyone wants to go. They are my favorite type of Ska.
